02 THE QUESTIONS
01What is the Rizz Ipsum REST API?
A plain HTTP GET endpoint at https://mcp.rizzipsum.com/api (also available at /api/v1) that returns rizz-flavored placeholder text as JSON or plain text. No API key, no signup, CORS open.
02What query parameters does it accept?
flavor — genz, alpha, genx, or millennial.format — words, sentences, or paragraphs.count — 1 to 50.output — json or text (default json).
03What does the JSON response look like?
It includes text, paragraphs (only when format=paragraphs), flavor, format, count, wordCount, truncated, and note.
04Is the REST API free?
Yes. No API key is needed. It's free, with the same 200-word cap as the MCP server.
05What are the rate limits?
30 requests per minute and 500 per day, per IP. Over-limit requests get a 429, and a Retry-After header is included when the app sends the limit response.
06Why did my generated text get cut off?
The API caps output at 200 words per request, same as the MCP server. The website generator does not have this cap. Ask for fewer words, sentences, or paragraphs.
07What do the error responses look like?
JSON with an error field, for example:
{
"error": "invalid_param",
"message": "...",
"param": "flavor",
"allowed": [...]
}Codes used: 400 invalid_param for a bad query value, 405 method_not_allowed for anything other than GET or OPTIONS, 413 payload_too_large, and 429 rate_limited when you've hit the limit.
